Summary Overview

The Training and Development Specialist will focus on conducting training and development programs for employees, and in partnership with the Corporate Trainer, will create, develop, and implement materials to support the organization’s training strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Executes training and onboarding for new hires as well as cross training for current employees to maintain or improve job skill performance.
  • Presents training and development material by using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Learns new and existing client products and technology platforms with the ability to translate the information into a comprehensive training program.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Performs other related duties as required which may include complaints handling and quality assurance needs across the organization.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and technical writing communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
